Talking about careless employees..

As we all know, these days are troubled by the mass malware distribution throughout the net, and it finally hit the high ranks of the US Army.
Yesterday the US Army high command announced a ban on all removable storage devices due to the number of highly efficient malware crawling inside their network.
That particular kind of malware has finally found the big secret on how to get inside virtually ANY network in the world: Thru people. I believe its safe to say that people in general are irresponsible and could not care less about what happens to their company's net or what are the consequences of those acts. What's really important to them is to being able to listen to their day-to-day playlist and that's it..
Just for the sake of the context, these malware works by replicating themselves to whatever PC the device gets plugged in, and from there it replicates itself thru the network. Once there, it downloads code from the net, and that code can be pretty much everything ;-) That's the beauty AND the great danger of it..
Didn't we all hear a Bank in the US was also hacked by the same method a while ago? It only took a single good looking usb flash drive left behind with the malware on, and of course, a reckless employee. It was plugged in and logged all the passwords for months before it sent them out so the hackers could login as managers and wire the money away..
That leads us to a big problem, with technology evolving so fast, what are the consequences of having non-educated employees with access to your network? How will companies deal with their valueable and sensitive information from now on?
Hope it gives you, IT people, some thought..
